Northwich Roadworks, early 2016

“Essential” road works which may cause disruption to traffic in Northwich Town Centre

Monday 15 February to Friday 19 February

· Works start on site offices set-up on the grounds of the old Church by Hadfield ST (No traffic disruption)

· Also, works start on Station Road, east of A559, on the of the existing grassed splitter island. (There will be a single lane closure on the exit bound lane of the A559 in the vicinity of Station Road only and back to two lane traffic at the existing roundabout itself. Lanes will be reopened in the evenings). This will be in order to start on the car parking area to aid parking when work begins in earnest.

· Some trial holes to be excavated in the Station Road (no through road section) under minimal traffic management.

Week 2

Sunday 21 and Mon 22 February

· Leicester Street tree clearance – Full road closure of Leicester Street between Station Road junction to the roundabout. Access to the businesses will remain open.

Monday 22 February to Friday 26 February

· A repeat of Week 1 with additional lane closures on the roundabout to single lane approaches in order to reduce/remove the existing splitter islands at the roundabout.

Community Plan documents, as used by Northwich

Dear all
As you are probably aware, on 28 February [2013] Mick Duggan from the Department for Communities and Local Government kindly provided advice sessions to neighbourhood plan groups.  Thank you to those that attended and I hope you found these sessions useful.
At the sessions information was provided by Mick and questions were raised by representatives from groups preparing neighbourhood plans.  The attached note sets out the key points from the meetings and the responses to the questions raised.  Please note that the advice in the
attached note carries the standard DCLG disclaimer that “the assistance the neighbourhood planning team in DCLG provides is to help local planning authorities and qualifying bodies through a new process.  It is not meant to be a substitute for your own professional or legal advice”.
If you have any questions relating to the advice sessions and the information provided, or have other questions relating to neighbourhood planning, please let me know.  Alternatively, you can contact Mick directly at: mick.duggan[at]communities.gsi.gov.uk
