Winsford Town Council is offering grants of up to £1000 (from a £5000 pot). Shortlisted applicants will persuade a randomly selected public audience of their cause, in Winsford Lifestyle Centre, 15th Oct, in Your Money, Your Choice III. Application forms from website; return by 26th Sept.

Gannett Grant. £5000 to £10000 grants from the local Guardian papers. Preference given to ideas that create a durable legacy for the community. See Return by 5pm 12th Sept to maureen.friday[at]

Awards for Bridging Cultures 2010
The ABCs give cash prizes for projects that successfully build trust and respect between people from different cultures. Deadline: 13 September.

Charity Times Awards 2010
The awards recognise and reward excellence in the management and co-ordination of all charitable activities. Deadline: 28 May.

Four Acre Trust
The Four Acre Trust supports charities that give individuals - mainly children and young people - help in making the most of their lives. Particularly: mentoring schemes, youth work in local communities, breaks and holidays for young people, school holiday activity schemes. 

Hedley Foundation
The Hedley Foundation is a charitable foundation which supports young people, the disabled and the terminally ill. 

Princes Trust Community Cash Awards
Community Cash Awards are grants to help young people set up projects that benefit their community. Grants of £5,000 are available and support to help plan your project, research your budget, set goals and learn about your community. Eligibililty limits: aged 14-16, and achieving or at risk of achieving less than 5 GCSEs grades A* - C, or aged 16-25 and not in education, training or work (or working less than 16 hours a week)

Adactus Grants
Adactus is a housing association with some houses in Frodsham, Marston, Moulton, Hartford, Northwich, Tarporley, Weaverham, Wincham, Winsford, Winnington and other locations in Cheshire and the North West. They have a pot of £4500 for charities and community groups to spend on projects that would benefit their Cheshire tenants. More details on their website.

Cheshire Community Development Trust have a small pot of funding from West Cheshire PCT for grants of £50 - £500 for local organisations. Applications should meet the criteria on the form of Five Ways to Health and Wellbeing.

The current round finishes on 20th January 2012. So it would help if any applications could be returned by then. More details and application form.
